Storytime

So every night we read five books to the Moo, as I fondly refer to my toddler.  I let the Moo pick the books and the order in which they're read, but they are always the same books in the same order.  One of the books has pages that fold out to reveal more of the story.  The Moo has taken to waiting for me to whisper "open" as her cue to open the folded page.  Well she doesn't quite get that whispers go in one's ear, so she turns and faces me with her cute little face directly in front of mine - touching even - as I try to finish the reading without laughing.  This continues for each and every page.  It's adorable.  Definitely my favorite part of today.

Hi out there.

Why cucumber and brie?  Have you ever had a cucumber and brie sandwich?  Delightful.  Divine.  Simple yet a treat.  That's what I like.  The little things that make me happy.  A cucumber and brie sandwich.  A hot cup of coffee in my favorite mug.  A new pair of shoes that make my feet feel bouncy.  My toddler doing her happy dance.  My husband laughing so hard his whole body shakes.  Fantastic.

I'm hoping to use this blog as a place to keep track of the crafty things I've made, the silly things we've done as a family and the simple treats we encounter every day.
